A Tarantino Superhero Lawyer Ad
What do you get when you mix lawyers with Tarantino-style editing, fast pumping gym music, and comic book panel effects? Pure awesomeness and a not-so-typical lawyer commercial. The lawyers from Bickett, Martz, and Trentham LLP decided to do something a little different with this ad. Check it out:

Insurance Company Hole in One
This video from Siegfried and Jensen, Personal Injury Lawyers, has one message: don’t settle for cheap! It shows the POV of a working stiff who gets injured but takes a quick settlement from the insurance company before cutting over to the POV of the insurance company execs laughing at him and playing a round of golf. This video’s got drama, honest portrayals of heartlessness, and a tanked tee off that the actor pretends hits the green as he mocks poor Ben Garrison (the injured plaintiff).

Campbell Alexander will fight for you … seriously. Okay, this next ad is not a real ad; it was made for a mock documentary, but cut from the final version. Still, it’s making the rounds on YouTube for it’s portrayal of a fake lawyer commercial that acts like so many real lawyer commercials … seriously. This one had us laughing out loud (seriously).

Miller has branded his divorce law firm “The Divorce Deli” with a homepage menu of up front costs for any combination of proceedings a client might have. Best of all is his YouTube video, which has gotten nearly 160,000 views at the time of this writing. Miller’s deadpan delivery of lines like, “if you and your spouse hate each other like poison and want to get out of the hell hole you call a marriage, you’ve come to the right place” is classic. We’ve already featured and raved about Michael Naso’s bold choice to create an original rap video about all the reasons his potential clients might need a lawyer. We even interview him to find out what was going on in his head when he made it (click here to listen)! Now here’s a little list of the stuff we loved and found awesomely bad:

- Lyrics like “you landed in jail and you can’t post bail / the guy in your cell says your butt is for sale” and a catchy hook “you need a lawyer, lawyer / yes you do / you need a lawyer, lawyer / a good one too” just make it
- Michael pointing to his degree from South Western University towards the end of the video with a sick gangsta lean (priceless!)

This commercial from Berger & Green has all the stops of an awesomely bad video: burning cars flying through the air in the background, deadpan delivery by Mr. Berger who is definitely reading his lines from a cue card, and a tagline you remember “get what’s yours!”

Here’s another video with flaming cars, but this time it’s Lowell “The Hammer” Stanley. One of three notorious hammers in the legal profession, Lowell’s commercials look like “something out of a Michael Bay movie,” (his words, not mine). We interviewed Lowell for the martindale.com Connected Lawcast (click here to see the latest lawcast), and it will be posting later this week. My favorite thing about Lowell’s videos besides his intensity are his facial expressions – they are just awesome. Here’s the video that’s gotten over 90,000 views on YouTube and compelled us to reach out to Lowell for an interview.
