Brooks C. Schumacher
Paralegal
I was born in the little town of Walhalla, South Carolina in the summer of 1988. I moved to Greenwood, South Carolina early in my middle school career. I attended CambridgeAcademy a school I love but due to financial hardships of the school it was no longer able to be open. I then attended EmeraldHigh School and Graduated in the spring of 2006. I then went to College in the fall of 2006 and choose the only choice, the University of South Carolina. I graduated in the fall of 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing and a Minor in History. I will be attending LawSchool in the fall of 2011, hopefully at the South Carolina School of Law.
I previously worked for in my opinion the best small town lawyer in the state of South Carolina, Billy Garrett. I worked for him my first few years of college. I was then introduced to Desa, while she was in Greenwood working on a case with Billy. She left a file at Billy’s office during the trial, and since I was heading back to school in a week I decided just to bring the file to her then. I was offered a Job that day and have been a member of DBPA ever since.
If there is anything that you can learn from our bios is that we love the environment here. We are allowed to be ourselves and voice our opinions in a respectful way, If you could see my office you would see that. I have a guitar hanging from one wall and my walls are painted a little different than the others to say the least, gives off a good beach theme. I consider us all one big happy, dysfunctional family. We go bowling, to the shooting range, and breakfast every month, along with celebrating each others birthdays and other celebrations as well. I love it here and I think that anyone who is not apart of our group is missing out!
