- Professional responsibility for lawyers and other professionals: We represent doctors, lawyers and other professionals in licensing and discipline matters, including admission to practice. We also consult with professionals in risk management, ethics and corporate and partnership matters, such as law firm and medical practice structure, acquisitions and dissolution.
- Civil litigation: Our civil litigation practice involves commercial and contract disputes, some of which relate to our representation of professionals, but we also litigate in other areas. The best way to describe our litigation practice is that it is a little different; perhaps we are a "boutique" practice. Lots of phone calls start with "This case is a little unusual. . . "
- Appeals: Desa's years at the South Carolina Supreme Court taught her to love appellate work, and she still thrives on it. She feels her best when arguing in front of an appellate court.
